I had visited this historical place in Abu Dhabi last year. Every room in the fort tells of an interesting history about the fort, which was I think built around late 1700s to protect the only well located in the place! I left this place with a pleasant feeling. Everything is very organized and very clean. You will find many fun activities here if you visit during the festival season. I recommend others should also visit this wonderful place.
Qasr Al Hosn Fort is well worth a visit in Abu Dhabi. It is an important part of Abu Dhabi’s history that is a little difficult to find since we could not find signposts that directed us to the place. However, it is a very good tourist place to visit where you can find many things to do with kids.
I found Qasr Al Hosn Fort to be a great place to visit with the family. My wife and I found many things to do with kids inside the fort like posing for pictures with the falcon, attending informational workshops, and especially the ride on a beautiful dhow boat floating in the water. The fort itself is a remarkable historical monument that seems to tell tales of the past. The guided tour was amiable and helped us look at the rooms inside the fort. Overall, I had a great time attending the festival at the fort. I recommend that everyone should visit the place at least once while in Abu Dhabi.
I visited Qasr Al Hosn in February last year during the annual festival. It was really nice to be a part of the cultural festival where you get to see the real crafts and culture of the people that lived in the fort. There were a lot of things to do with kids. My kids especially liked visiting the children's art area that contained high quality art projects made by local children. We also had fun taking pictures with a falcon sitting on our wrists!
I recommend that if you attend the annual festival, you should arrive early to get the chance to see all the attractions on offer for the public.
