A lot of people add visiting the Pura Luhur Uluwatu in their list of things to do in Bali, so make sure you visit the place. Uluwatu Temple is a famous sea temple in Bali dedicated to Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa and regarded as one of the sad kahyangan. The temple is built at the edge of a 70 meter high cliff which is projecting into the sea. The current structure of the temple was expanded significantly in the 11th century by Empu Kuturan, a Javanese sage. Things to do in Pura Luhur Uluwatu include visiting and enjoying the architecture and spiritual peace that the place offers. You will find a lot of locals here who will be more than happy to tell you about the history of this site. The place is also home to monkeys which reside here in large numbers. They are the notorious ones and are famous for snatching visitor’s belongings. They often trade stolen items for food and fruits; however, they enjoy stealing from the visitors more. The place is perfect for photography lovers as well because of the scenic beauty of the place.
