Cité de l'Océan et du Surf is a museum located in the city of Biarritz, France. Architects Solange Fabião and Steven Holls had designed the museum. Their design was selected in an international competition held in 2005. The museum was opened for the public in June 2011. Based on the concept of 'under the sea' and 'under the sky', the highlight of the museum is the sharply curved roof that tilts upwards towards the horizon and the ocean. The museum is spread over a land of 3,800 sq. meters. It contains an auditorium, gallery spaces, a cafe, restaurants, and administrative houses. The concave part of the building flows seamlessly from the plaza to the ocean water. Cité de l'Océan et du Surf boasts of a unique profile due to the integration of topography and concept.
