Tour Pey Berland is a Gothic styled tower, which is named after its patron and supporter Pey Berland. The visit to the tower is among the best things to do in France. The tower however was constructed in isolation as to not cause damage to the church building when the huge tower bells were to be used. The structure has a 50 meters high belfry and contains 231 steps. One can transcend to the top of the tower on these narrow steps and enjoy a panoramic view of Bordeaux.
