1. Bourscheid Castle - Bourscheid

Bourscheid Castle

Luxembourg has many great castles in it but it is hard to beat Bourscheid Castle when it comes to views. There are some castles which are great for how they are designed or how grand their interior is, Bourscheid is a bit different in this regards. The best part about the castle, which makes it one of the best in the city in our opinion, is its splendid location. It is located on a promontory which leads to it being the most magical looking castle visually. As you watch it from the lower ground around it, and see the castle tower over you, you will understand why we say it looks magical. Bourscheid Castle is also the best castle if you are taking photos of your trip. The castle is lit up beautifully at nights but, in our opinion, the best time to go to it would be when it is daytime but the weather is foggy or cold. The castle looks it’s most beautiful when there is mist around it, and the effect is heightened in the winters. The staff is also very helpful, and the audio guide available will illuminate you about the history of this place.
