The Yalu River Broken Bridge was constructed in 1911 and was later destroyed in the Korean War. This bridge is located at a distance of 100 miles to the south of the bridge that denotes the China-North Korea Friendship. Although both bridges underwent repairs after the bombing by American aircrafts during the Korean War, it is only the China-North Korea Friendship bridge that in a condition to be used by auto and rail traffic while the Yalu River Broken Bridge was left to its state without being repaired.
