Dubai Fountain has won the distinction of being the largest dancing fountain that has a choreographed system, to be constructed in the world. The fountain has been made at the Burj Khalifa Lake which is a 30-acre structure of manmade design. The fountain is present in the very center of the Downtown area. The original design for the fountain was created by WET Design, and the Fountain has been made to be illuminated by around 6,600 lights and has also been given additional features by the installation of 25 projectors. The fountain is around 275 m long and can shoot water about 500 feet high into the air, along with fascinating music. The choreographed fountain display is accompanied by contemporary Arabic or classic world music, for a complete effect. The fountain display is clearly visible from all points on the promenade of the Burj Khalifa Lake, as well as from other neighboring buildings. The fountain performance delights all at 1 and 1:30 pm and also after every 30 minutes, starting from 6 to 10 pm during the week. On weekends, the fountain’s choreographed performance is scheduled from 6 to 11 pm.
