Ataturk Park

Ataturk Park is the best spot to have a good time with your family. The evening brings with it a beautiful sunset on the coast and due to the park being situated near the beach, whether it is watching the yachts and boats go by while the ocean provides a beautiful contrast between the sky and water, or planning a barbeque with friends and family, there are many fun things to do in Ataturk Park.

Many swings and slides are provided for children to enjoy along with a small water park offering a splashy adventure for the kids. The park also features a wonderful fountain show for its visitors. There are several streams of water where you can peacefully watch turtles and fish swim along.

Marmaris Castle

Marmaris Castle

Marmaris Castle, along with being a magnificent structure to visit, is a museum too. The castle has a very rich history as it is almost 5000 years old. Initially, a fort used to stand in its location.

Marmaris was set up as a base when Ottoman Sultan Süleyman launched the campaign on Rhodes. Another time, when Lord Nelson and his army needed to rest, they made a stop here on their way to Egypt to face Napoleon at the battle of Aboukir.

People can find many things to do in Marmaris Castle like seeing the museum exhibits which include pottery from ancient roman times, Tombstones, oil lamps, figurines and statues. Some of the exhibits are findings from Knidos and Datça.
Another thing to be on the lookout for is the courtyard of the castle that is decorated with beautiful seasonal flowers.
