Situated in the capital Yinchuan and under the Helan Mountains, the Western Xia tombs cover an area of 50km² and contains 250 tombs of officials and royal relatives of the Western Xia Dynasty and 9 enormous mausoleums. The first pyramid mausoleums were discovered in the 1972 and are not fully excavated. Archeologists will keep on working on it and may even come upon a pyramid that could emulate its more famous cousins in Egypt.
