People who are planning a vacation to South America, more specifically, Brazil this summer, should add visiting Quinta da Boa Vista to their list of things to do in Brazil. It is a park that has great historic importance as it was the home of the emperors of the country during the almost two centuries ago. Currently, the building is home to the National Museum that exhibits artifacts related to archaeology and ethnology. A part of the park has been changed in the zoo, known as the Zoological Garden of Rio de Janeiro that is home to hundreds of animals. The things to do in Quinta da Boa Vista include visiting the National museum that dates back to 1818 and was founded by King John VI. A lot of donations in the museum were made by King Pedro II and some of the artifacts can be seen there to this day. On the other hand, the zoological garden was founded in 1945 and is home to beautiful birds and Brazilian monkeys. The opening hours of the Park are from 9 am to 5 pm and the entrance fee is R$ 3.

It is one of the most famous beaches of the country, largely because it is the only place in Rio de Janeiro where naturists can practice nudism freely. The beach is in Grumari, located in the west of the city. The beach is affiliated to the Brazilian Federation of Naturism (FBrN). Praia do Abricó has been used as a nude beach since the 1940s, but it gained popularity in 1972 with the opening of Avenida Estado da Guanabara, facilitating access to the beach. The beach stretches to 250 meters and is visited by thousands of people every year. The things to do in Praia do Abricó include swimming, surfing, or simply sunbathing. It is important that you know that the road that lead to the beach are closed for vehicles from 9 to 3, so you should make your plans to arrive at the beach early in the morning. You can reach the place in a car, surfbus, subway, bus, and van.
