This famous shopping street has been going under constant changes regularly, providing various things to do at the Nanjing Street. It has a mix of both eastern and western fashion. At first, it was home to huge traditional stores, but now it has various modern shopping malls, theatres and international hotel chains. Brands like Mc Donald’s, KFC, Pizza Hut, etc are found easily on either sides of the street. Many up-scale outlets like Dunhill, Tiffany and Co., Mont Blanc are also located, making it a high end street. Even though the huge traditional stores no longer dominate the street, small vendors can be found selling jade, embroidery and silk goods. Street musicians are seen playing music in different corners of the street. Open air bars provide an eloquent sense to enjoying drinks out in the open. Alongside the vibrant scene, a train passes through the street, providing a sightseeing tour of the entire lit street, at night. Neon lights are found on the buildings, which add to the lovely sky line of the city. All this adds to the “things to do in China” list of an individual. There are many fun things to do near this road that will make for a great day out in the beautiful city of Shanghai.
