The Neue Burg was constructed in 1881-1913 as another wing of the majestic royal palace and all things considered symbolizes the last seizures of the Habsburg Empire. Today it is home to various fascinating historical centers. The Hofjagd- und Rüstkammer (Imperial Hunting Museum and Armory) where you can explore a tremendous variety of European arms and armors. The Ephesus-Museum, where you can walk around collectible antiques mined in the ancient city of Ephesus by Austrian archaeologists in the 19th century. The Sammlung alter Musikinstrumente (Collection of Historic Musical Instruments) where you can discover the world's most significant accumulations of melodic instruments from the Renaissance and Baroque periods, and the Weltmuseum (World Museum).
