Where is Cabo San Lucas?

Mexico

People visiting Mexico often wonder where is Cabo San Lucas located? Cabo San Lucas is a beautiful city, which is located in the south of Baja California Sur. The place is known for its outdoor activities, beautiful resorts, delicious food, and golf.
Cabo San Lucas was a fishing port that was three hours away from La Paz, and was only accessible by a boat or a car. The place became a tourist spot when the airport was extended in the year 1977. For the next two decades, the place gained importance for fishermen, and for people who loved nature and enjoyed the night life. The city became even more famous when Hurricane Wilma destroyed Cancun beaches, and the people turned to Cabo to spend time by the sandy beaches. Currently, the city is considered as one of the most important areas when it comes to tourism.

The infrastructure of the city is really good and it is divided into three parts. The Old Town is known as the San Jose del Cabo and is conveniently located near the airport. The second is the Main Town known as the Cabo San Lucas, which has all the entertainment centers of the city. The third division is The Corridor which connects the Old Town to the Main Town. In order to get to the city, you can travel by plane to the Los Cabos International Airport and can even take a private jet or an air taxi. If you prefer travelling by road, then you can commute via the Mexican Highway. In order to travel inside the city, you can take taxis or go for rental cars.

The city is basically a tropical desert, and it rains quite rarely and that too only in the months of July, August, and September. If you love water sports, then Cabo is the place for you, as you can enjoy scuba diving, fishing, and can even go on cruises. There is so much to see in Cabo, like the Church of San Lucas, Cultural Center, and Land’s End. The city also has some really great bars, such as Cabo Wabo, El Squid Roe, Mango Deck Beach Club, No Worrys Bar & Grill, Slim's Elbo Room, The Giggling Marlin, The Sandbar, and UNOMAS. If you want to treat your taste buds with great food, then don’t forget to try the El Cora, El Patio, La Casa del Dorado, Mariscos Mocambo, Mi Casa, Nikk San, and Tacqueria Marissa.
