Where is Kazakhstan?

As the world’s ninth biggest country, Kazakhstan has a lot to offer to tourists in terms of fantastic attractions, comfortable and elegant accommodation, and unforgettable activities. Where is Kazakhstan? Kazakhstan, or otherwise known as the Republic of Kazakhstan, is a country of more than 17,500,000 people and a total land area of 2,724,900 square kilometers or 1,052,085 square miles. The country is split into fourteen different region, each of which are further split into districts. Out of its 17.5 million people, more than 60 percent of the population is Kazakh. The rest comprise of Russians, Uzbeks, Ukrainians, Uyghurs, Tatars, German, and other ethnic backgrounds.

There are a number of exciting places to visit in Kazakhstan. These are the following:

Chimbulak
The famous skiing resort located in Almaty is one place you should definitely visit with your friends and family members. If you have ever been curious to taste the thrill of skiing then you can reach the top of the Talgar Pass via the cable car and also go on hiking and mountain climbing on some of the most exquisite Alpine routes you will ever witness. Not to mention, you will have loads of opportunities of taking breathtaking pictures that will serve as an unforgettable memory.

Central Mosque
As the largest mosque in Kazakhstan, the beautiful turquoise dome of the Central Mosque is a sight to behold. It serves as the central building of the Islamic faith in Almaty, and visited by hundreds of worshippers every week. More importantly, it has been constructed with the architectural design of Central Asia, and is near the popular Green Bazaar and Arbat.

The Korgalzhin National Park
This national park is an ideal location for spending a quality time with your family members or group of friends. The park is the country’s largest reserve zone, consisting of two large lakes, Korgalzhin and Tengiz, in addition to more than 300 different varieties of plans and over 80 bird species.
