Where is Palau? It is an island that is located in the Micronesia region of the Oceania and is near the Philippines. Initially, Palau was under US administration, but the island wanted to become independent instead of joining the Federated States of Micronesia, and finally gained independence on the 1st of October 1994.

The climate of Palau can be classified as tropical, with the mean annual temperature being 28°C. The island receives its rainfall from July till October. The main regions in the area are Babeldaob, Koror, Rock Islands, Peleliu, Angaur, and the Sonsorol Islands, whereas the main cities are Melekeok and Koror.
