Where is Palestinian Territory?

Where is Palestine? The Palestinian Territory basically consists of three entities that are known as the Gaza Strip, West Bank, and the East Jerusalem. It is important that you know that all the three areas are under the control of Israel since 1967. Israel did withdraw from Gaza but then gained control of the area’s air and sea space. The Palestinian territory holds significance for all the major religions in the world: Islam, Judaism, and Christianity.

The main regions include the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, whereas the main cities are Bethlehem, East Jerusalem, Gaza, Hebron, Jenin, Jericho, Nablus, Qalqilyah, Ramallah, and the Tulkarm. The main governorates, on the other hand, include Bethlehem, Deir al-Balah, Hebron, Jenin, Jericho, Jerusalem, Khan Yunis, Nablus, North Gaza, Qalqilya, Rafah, Ramallah and Al-Bireh, Salfit, South Gaza, Tubas, and the Tulkarm. Now that you know where is Palestine, you should learn how you will get to the place. You can either travel by a bus, shared taxi, private taxi or a car. Due to the constant air raids by Israel, there is not much that one can do in the Palestinian territory, except for trekking at The Nativity Trail, and the Abraham's Path.

Some of the places to visit in the Palestinian Territory include Al Khader Church, Arafat's Tomb, Blessings Gift Shop and The Olive Wood, Church of St. Lazarus, Church of the Nativity, Dar Zahran Heritage Building, Hisham's Palace, Kalia Beach, Mahmoud Darwish Museum, Milk Grotto, Mount of Temptation Monastery, Noora Heritage House, Rachel's Tomb, Sanctuary Bethlehem, Shepherd's Sanctuary, Star Street, Taybeh Brewery, Tel es-Sultan, The Church of St. Catherine, and the Wadi Qelt.

Palestinians enjoy eating shawarma, hummus, olives, falafels, and flat bread. Taybeh Beer is the national beer and only consists of 5 to 6% alcohol. The main brewery is located in the Taybeh village that can be accessed by taking a taxi or by taking a bus from the Ramallah bus station. It is important that you know that most the places to visit in the Palestinian Territory are not safe to visit though; the area is after all, a warzone.
