National Gallery of Victoria

The National Gallery of Victoria is Australia’s favorite gallery. The wide National Gallery of Victoria collection is known amongst the world’s greatest, and is proudly showed across two sites – NGV International and The Ian Potter Centre: National Gallery of Victoria Australia. National Gallery of Victoria International houses the Gallery’s assortments of international art and is open daily from 10am–5pm, and closed on Tuesday. The National Gallery of Victoria's collection encompasses all major media from antiquity through to fashionable art. The Gallery's collection delivers a framework of the past of world art as well as a survey of the finest works of indigenous and non-indigenous artists. National Gallery of Victoria Australia is home to the Australian art collection – including works by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island communities – and is open 10am–5pm and closed on Monday. Entry to the NGV collection is free; however entry fees may apply to special exhibitions. The gallery also has an excellent decorative arts collection and fantastic pieces in its Asian galleries from India to Japan. Its international blockbuster shows are very popular and enormous and carry long queues with them. The Australian art collection is on show at the Ian Potter Centre: National Gallery of Victoria Australia at nearby Federation Sq. The Gallery is open 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Sunday (except for Christmas Day (25 December) closed; Good Friday (18 April) closed; & Anzac Day (25 April) opens at 1:00 pm. The Gallery provides for all interests; for those who like to just stroll through the gatherings taking their time to consider the exhibits, through to offering lectures, floor talks, workshops, tours, films, recitals, children's activities and special events all inspired by the National Gallery of Victoria 's exhibitions and collections. Superior access viewing by arrangement or guided tours for all facilities on late-night openings is all available. And the best time to visit the gallery is at night because at that time the gallery lit up with colorful lights. The Gallery bids place to eat, lift access, wheelchair and career access and companion and career support. This is the best place for art and history lovers because there is a lot to explore.
